  N-Cyanoaziridines containing the grouping ##STR1## are obtained by reacting an ethylenically unsaturated compound with cyanogen azide (N.sub.3 CN). Exemplary is 3-cyanoazatricyclo[3.2.1.0.sup.2.4 ] octane of the formula ##STR2## obtained by reacting norbornene with N.sub.3 CN.
