    A chemically amplified positive-type photosensitive resin composition capable of suppressing the occurrence of “footing” in which the width of the bottom (the side proximal to the surface of a support) becomes narrower than that of the top (the side proximal to the surface of a resist layer) in the nonresist portion; and the generation of development residue when a resist pattern serving as a template for a plated article is formed on a metal surface of a substrate using the photosensitive resin composition. A mercapto compound having a specific structure is included in the photosensitive resin composition, and includes an acid generator which generates acid upon exposure to an irradiated active ray or radiation, and a resin whose solubility in alkali increases under the action of acid.

    The binder composition of this invention contains a beta-hydroxy urethane functional material and a polycarboxylic acid. Coated glass fibers are prepared by contacting said fibers with the binder composition of the invention and thereafter curing the composition. This invention is also an improved method of treating glass fibers by contacting them with the improved binder composition of the invention.

    A polyacid polyanhydride is used as a bleach activator especially for improving low temperature bleaching performance of peroxygen bleaches such as hydrogen peroxide or sodium perborate, in laundry and other detergent formulations. The polyanhydrides are preferably made from polybasic, usually dibasic, carboxylic acids, which may be aliphatic and/or aromatic in nature. The polyanhydride may be a homopolymer or a copolymer and has at least 2 monomer units on average per chain. The polyanhydride is preferably made by reacting the free dibasic acids with excess acetic anhydride and refluxing until the desired molecular weight is achieved followed by removal of acetic acid formed and excess acetic anhydride. Examples of polyanhydrides are polymers of sebacic, adipic, azelaic, succinic, fumaric, iso- and per-phthalic and citric acids. The polyanhydrides are solids which are easy to handle, relatively storage stable and give bleach activation.

    The invention relates to a degradable polymer and a process for preparing of the degradable polymer which has a structure resulting from combination of a star-shaped polymer comprising a polyfunctional center compound of polycarboxylic acid having three or more carboxyl groups and/or anhydride of the same or aliphatic polyhydric alcohol having three or more hydroxyl groups and a unit of aliphatic hydroxycarboxylic acid, through aliphatic polyhydric alcohol having two or more hydroxyl groups or polycarboxylic acid having two or more carboxyl groups or anhydrides of the same. The degradable polymer of the invention leads to remarkably low coloration as compared with a polymer comprising polysaccharide as a polyfunctional center compound, has high melt tension as compared to common aliphatic polyester is excellent in processability on various molding methods, foam molding and blow molding in particular, and high transparency.
