  Disclosed is a liquid crystal display element which is composed of a pair of substrates ( 1 ) at least one of which is transparent. The liquid crystal display element comprises, between the pair of substrates, a transparent electrode ( 2 ), an aligning agent ( 3 ) that contains at least reactive monomers and/or oligomers ( 5 ), and a liquid crystal layer.
