  两当量的 [Rh(PMe3)4]Cl 与 HCC–X–CCH（X = 无、p-C6H4、p-C6F4、p-C6H4-C6H4-p）反应生成双核乙炔桥阳离子顺式- cis-[Rh(PMe3)4(H)(CC−X−CC)Rh(PMe3)4(H)]2+[ Cl−]2，而 [Rh(PMe3)4(Me) 的反应] 与 HCC−X−CCH (X =p-C6H4, p-C6H4−C6H4-p) 生成中性单核、双核或寡聚刚性棒复合物 mer-trans-[Rh(PMe3)3(H)( CC−X−CCH)2]、[Rh(PMe3)4(CC−X−CC)Rh(PMe3)4] 或 mer-trans-[−Rh(PMe3)3(H)− CC–X–CC–]n，取决于所采用的化学计量（分别为 1:2、2:1 或 1:1）；双核RhI配合物[Rh(PMe3)4(CC→C6H4→CC)Rh(PMe3)4]的晶体和分子结构已通过X射线衍射确定，并从其中分离出可溶性刚性棒低聚物使用 PBun3 配体的反应。
