Two mononuclear Schiff base copper(II) complexes, [Cu(L1)2]· 2NO3 (1) and [Cu(L2)2]· 2Br (2) (L1 = 2-bromo-4-chloro-6-[(2-diethylaminoethylimino)methyl]phenol, L2 = 2,4-dibromo-6-[(2-isopropylaminoethylimino)methyl]phenol), were synthesized by the reaction of Schiff base ligands with copper salts in methanol solution.
