  The present invention relates to topical drug compositions and methods for topical drug delivery which promote stability of a drug component and facilitate the penetration of the drug component into the skin of the host. Provided are topical drug compositions containing a suitable pharmaceutical agent agent, such as a vasoactive agent, and/or anti-inflammatory agents, NSAIDs, and/or non-NSAIDs.
