Ferromagnetic dinuclear copper(II) complex based on bridging oxalate and bipyridinium ligands
摘要:
A photoelectrochernically active bipyridinium salt, N-(2-pyrazinyl)-4,4'-bipyridinium chloride (PrBpyCl), and its copper complex [Cu-2(PrBPy)(2)(C2O4)3] center dot 4H(2)O (1) have been synthesized and structurally characterized. The complex consists of oxalate-bridged dinuclear Cu(II) units, which are held together through pi-pi stacking and hydrogen bonding interactions to yield 3D supramolecular framework. The temperature-dependent magnetic susceptibility measurements indicate the existence of a weak ferromagnetic coupling between Cu(II) ions. (C) 2006 Published by Elsevier B.V.
Abstract A series of new transitional metal charge-transfer (CT) complexes with a bipyridinium-based ligand [M(PrBpy)2(SCN)4] (M = Cd(II), Ni(II), Co(II)) and [Cu(PrBpy)(SCN)3(H2O)] (PrBpyCl = N-(2-pyrazinyl)-4,4′-bipyridinium chloride) have been obtained and determined by X-ray diffraction, FT-IR and elemental analysis. The CT absorption bands of the four compounds were observed by diffuse reflection
