制备方法与用途

生物活性

Monactin 是一种抗生素，也是单价阳离子 (包括钾、钠和锂) 的非选择性离子载体。Monactin 是从链霉菌中分离出来，并具有抗增殖活性。

体外研究

Monactin displays strong antiproliferative activity against A2780 ovarian cancer cells (IC ₅₀ 0.13 μM), A2058 melanoma cells (0.02 μM), and H522-T1 non small-cell cancer lung cells (0.01 μM).
Monactin inhibits TCF/β-catenin transcriptional activity.
At a concentration of 10 μM, nigericin and monactin inhibited growth of Streptococcus faecalis, and the inhibition was reversed by addition of excess K(+).

体内研究

Monactin is potent uncoupler of oxidative phosphorylation and inducer of ATP hydrolysis in rat liver mitochondria.
