    摘要:
    The reaction of zinc(II) halides with Schiff base ligand 2,4-dichloro-6-[(3-methylaminopropylimino)methyl]phenol (HL) yields a pair of mononuclear complexes, [ZnLCl2](2)center dot CH3OH center dot H2O (1) and [ZnLBr2]center dot CH3OH (2). The structures of the complexes have been characterized by elemental analysis, IR spectra and single crystal X-ray diffraction. Complex (1) crystallizes in the P-1 space group with the unit cell a = 11.598(2), b = 11.972(2), c = 13.510(3) angstrom, alpha = 75.95(3)degrees, beta = 79.67(3)degrees, gamma = 67.80(3)degrees. Complex (2) crystallizes in the P2(1)2(1)2(1) space group with the unit cell a = 7.303(2), b = 8.135(2), c = 29.689(5)angstrom, alpha = beta = gamma = 90 degrees. Each Zn atom in the complexes is in a tetrahedral coordination.

    A dinuclear centrosymmetric cadmium(II) Schiff base complex, [Cd-2(L)(2)(mu-1,3-SCN)(2)(CH3OH)(2)], HL= 2-(3-(methylamino)propyliminomethyl)-4,6-dichlorophenol} has been synthesized and characterized. X-ray crystallography has confirmed its structure. The complex crystallizes in monoclinic space group C2/c with cell dimensions, a = 26.161(1) angstrom, b = 8.9412(3) angstrom, c = 18.9687(8) A, beta =129.202(1)degrees. Extended supra-molecular assemblies were generated through weak non-covalent interactions. The application of the complex as a photocatalyst for the decomposition of organic dye in visible light has been explored. (C) 2016 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.

    Two new isostructural mononuclear zinc(II) complexes, [Zn(C11H14Cl2N2O)(NCS)(CH3COO)] and [Zn(C11H14BrClN2O) (NCS)(CH3COO)], have been synthesized from the Schiff-bases 2-bromo-4-chloro-6-[(3-methylaminopropylimino)methyl]phenol and 2,4-dichloro-6-[(3-methylaminopropylimino)methyl]phenol, respectively. Both complexes were characterized by elemental analysis, IR spectra and single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The Zn atom in each of the complexes is coordinated by one phenolic oxygen atom and one imine nitrogen atom of a Schiff-base ligand, one nitrogen atom of a thiocyanate anion, and one oxygen atom of an acetate ligand, giving a tetrahedral geometry.
