  (EN) Disclosed are ((4-phenyl-1,2,5-thiadiazol-3-yl)oxy)methyl ester thiocyanic acid compounds corresponding to formula (I) wherein X represents -Br, -Cl, -F, -CF3, -OCF3, -CN, C1-C7 straight or branched chain alkyl, C1-C7 straight or branched chain alkoxy or -COOR wherein R is -H or C1-C7 straight or branched chain alkyl and n is an integer of from 0-5. These compounds have been found to exhibit antimicrobial and marine antifouling activity in industrial and commercial applications and compositions containing these compounds are so employed.(FR) L'invention concerne des composés d'acide ((4-phényl-1,2,5-thiadiazol-3-yl)méthyl ester thiocyanique correspondant à la formule (I) dans laquelle X représente -Br, -Cl, -F, -CF3, -OCF3, -CN, alkyle en C1-C7 à chaîne droite ou ramifiée, alcoxy en C1-C7 à chaîne droite ou ramifiée ou -COOR où R représente -H ou alkyle en C1-C7 à chaîne droite ou ramifiée et n représente un nombre entier compris entre 0 et 5. Ces composés se sont avérés présenter une activité antimicrobienne et inhibitrice des salissures marines dans des applications industrielles et commerciales, et les compositions les contenant peuvent donc être utilisées dans ces applications.
