  Recombinant Escherichia coli expressing a styrene monooxygenase, StyAB2, from Pseudomonas sp. LQ26 was applied to synthesize a range of chiral epoxides from conjugated styrene derivatives with excellent (>99%) enantioselectivity in most cases.
