  Alkylation of gamma- and delta-sultams with (iodomethyl)trimethylsilane followed by treatment of the resultant silanes with tetrabutylammonium fluoride gave rise to sulfur-free unsaturated amines. In particular, N-THP substituted sultams were found to be useful substrates for the alkylation event.
