Synthesis and Physico‐Chemical Studies on 14‐ and 16‐Membered Octaazamacrocyclic Complexes Derived from Hydrazine with Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), and Zn(II)
摘要:
A series of 14 and 16-membered octaazamacrocyclic complexes [(MLX2)-X-1] and [(MLX2)-X-2] [M = Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II) and Zn(II), X = Cl or NO3] have been synthesized by a template condensation reaction of hydrazine with 1,3-dibromopropane or 1,2-dibromoethane and formaldehyde in methanol. The complexes and their overall geometry and stereochemistry have been characterized by elemental analyses, IR, H-1 NMR, EPR, UV-Visible, magnetic susceptibility and conductivity measurements. An octahedral geometry is suggested for all of the complexes where two coordination sites are occupied by Cl or NO3 and the other four sites by secondary amines. The low conductivity data suggest that the complexes are non-ionic.
