    An aromatic carbonate polymer composition having improved thermal stability consisting of an aromatic carbonate polymer such as a polycarbonate or polycarbonate/polyester blend and an impact modifier which is free of alkali materials which catalytically degrade a polycarbonate. Also an impact modifier which is preferably of a shell-core structure prepared by the emulsion polymerization process and has a pH of about 3 to about 8. A preferred emulsifier is an alkyl sulfonate having an alkyl group of C6-C18 carbons.

There are provided a rubber composition containing: a diene-based rubber component; a short fiber; and a surface active agent, in which the surface active agent contains at least one material selected from the group consisting of a fatty acid polyhydric alcohol ester, a nonionic ester type surface active agent, an alkanolamide type surface active agent, and a sulfonic acid type surface active agent, and a tire obtained from the rubber composition, more particularly a studless tire.

    To enhance adhesion between a resin and a glass filler and at the same time to disperse a rubber in the resin to thereby improve mechanical properties of a molded body. Provided is a resin composition containing an engineering plastic (A), a glass filler (B) and a rubber-containing graft polymer (C), wherein a ratio of an acrylonitrile-derived component in a chloroform-soluble component of the resin composition is not more than 2.0 mass%, a content of a fatty acid in 100 parts by mass of the resin composition is not more than 0.03 parts by mass, a total content of calcium and magnesium in 100 parts by mass of a dry sample of the resin composition extracted with chloroform is not more than 0.0008 parts by mass, and a content of aluminum is not more than 0.0008 parts by mass. Also provided is a resin composition further containing a salt (D) of an alkali metal and a strong acid. The engineering plastic (A) is preferably an aromatic polycarbonate resin. Also provided is a molded body obtained by molding the resin composition.

    Provided is, for example, a modifier that is for a polyolefin resin and that can provide excellent anti-fogging properties to the polyolefin resin without adversely affecting the inherent heat-sealing properties of the polyolefin resin. The modifier for a polyolefin resin according to the present invention is characterized by containing an ester compound and a nonionic surfactant, wherein the mass ratio (ester compound)/(nonionic surfactant) of the contained amount of the ester compound with respect to the contained amount of the nonionic surfactant is 10/90-30/70. The ester compound is at least one selected from the group consisting of partial esters of divalent alcohols having 2-4 carbon atoms with aliphatic monocarboxylic acids having 8-22 carbon atoms. The nonionic surfactant is at least one selected from the group consisting of partial esters of tri- to hexavalent alcohols with aliphatic monocarboxylic acids having 8-22 carbon atoms, specific ester compounds, and specific ether compounds.
