Palladium-catalyzed double N-arylation of primary amines with (Z)-1,2-bis(2-bromophenyl)ethenes was investigated. A variety of dibenzoazepine derivatives were synthesized in good to excellent yields. (C) 2012 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
