  The highly selective anti‐Markovnikov addition of thiols to unactivated alkenes and alkynes was demonstrated by using 3,4‐dimethyl‐5‐vinylthiazolium iodide or its polymer, poly(3,4‐dimethyl‐5‐vinylthiazolium) iodide, as a complementary catalyst.
