Deep Hydrodesulfurization in Homogeneous Solution: Access to a Transition-Metal Insertion Complex of 4,6-Dimethyldibenzothiophene
摘要:
Alkylated dibenzothiophenes are among the most difficult compounds to desulfurize in the hydroprocessing of crude oil, and information leading to their efficient removal is of tremendous value. Homogeneous nickel and platinum complexes were found to desulfurize alkylated dibenzothiophenes in the solution phase proceeding through well-characterized transition-metal insertion complexes.
