A novel copper(II)-radical complex with ferromagnetic interaction: Synthesis, crystal structure and magnetic properties
摘要:
A novel copper(II)-radical complex [Cu(NITmPy)(PDA)(H2O)] center dot (H2O) (1) (NITmPy = 2-(3'-pyridyl)-4,4,5,5-tetramethylimidazoline-1-oxyl-3-oxide, H(2)PDA = 2,6-pyridinedicarboxylic acid) has been synthesized and structurally characterized by X-ray diffraction methods. It crystallizes in the triclinic space group P (1) over bar. The Cu(II) ion exists in a distorted square pyramid environment. The molecules of [Cu(NITmPy)(PDA)(H2O)] center dot (H2O) are connected as a two-dimensional structure by the intermolecular hydrogen bonds. Magnetic measurements show intramolecular ferromagnetic interactions between NITmPy and Cu(II) ion and intermolecular antiferromagnetic interactions in 1. (c) 2006 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
