    A curable composition comprises (a) at least one inorganic or organic compound comprising reactive silane functionality comprising at least one hydrosilyl moiety; (b) at least one inorganic or organic compound comprising reactive silane functionality comprising at least one hydroxysilyl moiety, the hydroxysilyl moiety optionally being generated in situ by hydrolysis of at least one hydrosilyl moiety; and (c) at least one photoactivatable composition that, upon exposure to radiation, generates at least one base selected from amidines, guanidines, phosphazenes, proazaphosphatranes, and combinations thereof; with the proviso that, when component (a) is an organic polymer, then component (b) is different from component (a) and is not generated in situ by hydrolysis of component (a).

    An object of the present invention is to provide a curable composition which is excellent in curability and storage stability without an organotin curing catalyst which is known to be toxic. In order to achieve this object, the present inventors have studied to find that a curable composition comprising: (A) an organic polymer having a silicon-containing group cross-linkable by siloxane bond formation (reactive silyl group); (B) a guanidine compound; and (C) a methyl ester group-containing compound is effective. In addition, the present inventors have found that a cured product of this curable composition has good physical properties. Thereby, the present inventors have completed the present invention.

    The present invention provides a bonded structure that includes a wood material and a curable composition prepared from a reactive silyl group-containing polymer and that has high strength and boiling water resistance. The reactive silyl group-containing polymer is an environmentally friendly material having less toxicity. The use of a reactive silyl group-containing organic polymer containing a (meth)acrylate polymer and a polyoxyalkylene polymer with specific structures provides a curable composition having high strength and a high modulus, leading to the formation of a bonded structure including the composition and a wood material, which is excellent in strength and boiling water resistance. Thus, the above problem can be solved.
