ABSTRACT An efficient and an environmentally benign protocol has been developed for the synthesis of new naphtha-azaquinoxaline and naphtha-benzoquinoxaline derivatives from the reaction of β-lapachone, a naturally occurring 1,2-naphthoquinone with various 1,2-diamines using surfactant as catalyst in aqueous medium.
