  A polycarbonate polymer wherein the repeating unit is a group represented by general formula (I) and the terminal group is a group represented by formulae (I), (II), (III), (IV) or (V).   An electrophotographic photosensitive member is formed of a support, and a photosensitive layer disposed on the support.
