    Stable Compounds of Composition LGe(II)R (R = OH, PhO, C6F5O, PhCO2) Prepared by Nucleophilic Addition Reactions
    摘要:
    The stable beta-diketiminate germanium(II) compounds LGeR [L = HC(CMeNAr)(2), Ar = 2,6-iPr(2)C(6)H(3)] (R = OTf, OH, PhO, C6F5O, PhCO2) are described. LGeOTf (2) is synthesized by salt metathesis reaction of LGeCl (1) with AgOTf and can be isolated as colorless crystals in 90% yield. Compound L'Ge (3) (L' = CH{(C=CH2)(CMe)(2,6-iPr(2)C(6)H(3)N)(2)}) was obtained by treatment of LGeOTf (2) with 1 equiv of 1,3-di-tert-butylimidazol-2-ylidene (NHC) in toluene. Reaction of 3 with H2O, PhOH, C6F5OH, and PhCO2H, respectively, in toluene provided the germanium(II) compounds 4-7 in high yield. Compounds 2-7 were characterized by microanalysis and multinuclear NMR spectroscopy. Furthermore compounds 5, 6, and 7 are confirmed by X-ray structural analysis with the result that compounds 5, 6, and 7 are monomeric and the germanium center resides in a trigonal-pyramidal environment.

    The reactions of stable β-diketiminate germanium(II) hydride LGeH (1) [L = HC(CMeNAr)2, Ar = 2,6-iPr2C6H3] with nitrous oxide, trimethylsilyl azide, ketones, and alkynes are described. 1 reacts with nitrous oxide to yield the germanium(II) hydroxide LGeOH (2), and with trimethylsilyl azide affords in toluene at room temperature the germanium(II) azide LGeN3 (3), and also the germanium(IV) diamide L′Ge(NHSiMe3)2

    LGeOH (1; L = HC[(CMe)(NAr)](2), Ar = 2,6-iPr(2)C(6)H(3)) reacted with iron and manganese complexes to give LGe(OH)Fe(CO)(4) (2) and LGe(OH)Mn(CP)(CO)(2) (3; Cp = cyclopentadienyl). Compounds 2 and 3 were characterized by IR, multinuclear NMR, EI-MS, and single-crystal X-ray diffraction.
