  The invention provides anticancer methods. In one embodiment, the inventive method involves the co-administration to cancerous cells of (a) a chemotherapeutic agent, radiation, or a combination of a chemotherapeutic agent and radiation and (b) an inhibitor of DNA polymerase beta.
