Abstract In this paper, the synthesis and intermolecularinteractions between N-benzylidenetyramine molecules were investigated. The crystal structure of N-(4-nitrobenzylidene)tyramine shows a molecular organization in zigzag chains with intermolecular O-H⋯N hydrogen bonds between the azomethine and phenolic hydroxyl groups.
