  The complete mass spectra of the compounds R (R = Ph, PhO, t-BuO) are reported for the first time. The first two of these show rearrangement processes giving rise to C8H9+ and C7H7+ ions. Mechanisms for the formation of these ions are discussed in the light of studies on deuterium labelled compounds.
