[EN] The present invention relates to l,3-dioxolane-2,4-diones, also called O-carboxy anhydrides (OCAs), comprising a salifiable function, of general formula (I) in which A is a heteroatom or a radical -COO or NH, and B is a protective group for A. The present invention also relates to a process for controlled polymerization of these OCAs, wherein the polymerization reaction is carried out in a controlled manner in the presence of a catalytic system comprising a base. Finally, the present invention relates to the poly(a-hydroxy acid)s obtained from these OCAs and to their use for the vectorization of active ingredients or for the manufacture of biomaterials. [FR] La présente invention concerne des l,3-dioxolane-2,4-diones, également appelées O-Carboxy Anhydrides (OCAs), comprenant une fonction salifiable, de Formule générale (I) dans laquelle A représente un hétéroatome ou un radical -COO ou NH et B représente un groupe protecteur de A. La présente invention concerne également un procédé de polymérisation contrôlée de ces OCAs, la réaction de polymérisation étant réalisée de manière contrôlée en présence d'un système catalytique comprenant une base. La présente invention concerne enfin les poly(a-hydroxy acides) obtenus à partir des ces OCAs et leur utilisation pour la vectorisation de principes actifs ou pour la fabrication de biomatériaux.

The invention concerns a method for preparing poly(-hydroxy acids), the polymerization reaction being performed in controlled manner in the presence of a catalytic system including a base, said base being a 5- or 6-membered aromatic heterocycle comprising at least one endocyclic nitrogen atom, provided that when the base is used alone in the catalytic system, it does not represent pyridine, 2-methylpyridine, 2,6-dimethylpyridine or 2-methoxypyridine. The invention also concerns poly(-hydroxy acids) of formula (IV). Finally, the invention concerns the use of a poly(-hydroxy acid), obtainable by the inventive method, for vectoring active principles or for making biomaterials.
