    AIE based “on-off” fluorescence probe for the detection of Cu2+ ions in aqueous media
    摘要:
    A simple hydrazine carboxamide derivative with intramolecular charge transfer and aggregation induced emission (AIE) properties have been designed and synthesized. The derivative (Probe 1) shows typical AIE characteristic emission in THF-water mixtures and emits yellowish orange color on reaching the water fraction 98%. The probe molecule show selective sensing response for Cu2+ ions via fluorescence turn-off mechanism in aqueous media over other metal ions. The emission changes towards Cu2+ ions that could be clearly observed by the naked eyes under 365 nm UV lamp promote the probe molecule as a promising candidate for practical utilization. Furthermore, from the fluorescence titration data, the detection limit for Cu2+ ions was found to be 0.44 mu M.

    (R = Me or Et) and eventually gave the mixed ligand Cu(II) complexes [Cu(L-COOMe)HIm] ( 8 ), [Cu(L-COOEt)HIm] ( 9 ), [Cu(L-COOMe)HPyr·H 2 O] ( 10 ) and [Cu(L-COOEt)HPyr] ( 11 ). The X-ray molecular and supramolecular structures of 4 , 5 , 7 , 9 and 10 have been reported and discussed.

    A systematically generated series of hydrazones were analyzed as potential inhibitors of anthrax lethal factor. The hydrazones were screened using one UV-based and two fluorescence-based in vitro assays. The study identified several inhibitors with IC50 values in the micromolar range, and importantly, significant differences in the types of inhibition were observed with the different assays.   • First raw transition metal complexes of salicylidene and 2- hydroxy-1-naphthylidene-N-cyanoacetohydrazone

    Mn(II), Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II) and Zn(II) complexes of salicylidene-N-cyano- acetohydrazone H2L1 and 2-hydroxy-1-naphthylidene-N-cyanoacetohydrazone H2L2 have been prepared in ethanolic solution and characterized by analytical, spectral, magnetic susceptibility, molar conductivity and TGA measurements. The analytical data show that all the complexes derived from H2L1 and H2L2 are formed in molar ratios 1M:2L, except the complexes of Mn(II), Co(II) and Cu(II) acetates of H2L2 and the complexes of Mn(II), Co(II) and Ni(II) acetates and CuCl2 of H2L1 are formed in I: I molar ratios. The conductance data show that all metal complexes are non-electrolytes. Electronic absorption spectra and magnetic susceptibility measurements proved that the prepared complexes have octahedral configuration except [Co(HL2)OAc] which has tetrahedral structure. The ligand field parameters were calculated for the Co(II) and Ni(II) complexes and the data show that the covalent character of the metal ligand sigma-bond is low. The ESR parameters of the Cu(II) complexes at room temperature were calculated. Thermal TGA for some solid complexes are reported. (c) 2008 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
