  N-(Triphenylphosphoranylidene)sulfamoyl chloride was reacted with the ethyl ester monohydrobromide of a series of N-alkylcarbamimidothioic acids (alkylpseudothiuronium salts) to give ethyl N-alkyl-N'-[(triphenylphosphoranylidene)amino]sulfonyl}carbamimidothioates which: were converted to the corresponding N-alkyl-N'-[(triphenylphosphoranylide)amino]sulfonyl}thioureas by S-dealkylation with NaHS/H2S in DMF.
