(ClBzQl = 1-(4′-Cl-benzyl)quinolinium cation and ClBzMePy = 1-(4′-Cl-benzyl)-2-methylpyridinium cation) have been synthesized and characterized by IR, UV, elemental analysis and X-ray crystallography.
