  Non-natural ceramide analogues, C2-homo-ceramide and C2-homo-dihydroceramide, were prepared from L-aspartic acid via L-homo-serine. The apoptotic activities of the synthesized ceramide analogues were examined in HL-60 human leukemia cells.
