SET-photosensitizedreactions of α,β-enones and -ynones containing tethered α-silylamine functions are described. The processes lead to hydropyridine ring construction via pathways involving 6-endo type α-aminoradicalcyclizations. High degrees of regio- and stereocontrol attend these reactions.
