  (CF3)2C(OH)CXCHCl (X  F or Cl), together with the aldehydes (CF3)2CClCHXCHO and acid chlorides (CF3)2CClCHXCClO (X  F or Cl). A large number of unidentified minor products were also obtained from the reactions carried out at the higher temperatures.
