    The invention provides a novel preparation process of a polycondensation type polymer, an excellent polymer which is represented by lactic acid and the preparation process of the polymer, a polycondensation agent used for the preparation process, and an intermediate. Specifically, the invention provides a preparation process of the polycondensation type polymer, for example, polyamide, polyimide, polythioester and polyester, comprising bonding a carboxyl group comprising compound with an active hydrogen group comprising compound in the presence of haloiminium salt. The invention provides excellent polylactic acid having a controlled D/L-isomer ratio in the repeating structural units and preparation process of polylactic acid, and further provides a haloiminium salt compound used for the preparation process and an intermediate compound of acid chloride.

    It is an object of the present invention to provide a polyimide-based hybrid material which is industrially and advantageously utilized because of having better gas permeability, electric characteristics, heat resistance, mechanical strength, and the like as compared with the conventional polyimide-based hybrid materials, while keeping chemical resistance, forming characteristics (process characteristics), and the like inherently possessed by polyimide. Provided is a hyperbranched polyimide-based hybrid material constituted of an organic-inorganic polymer hybrid, wherein the organic-inorganic polymer hybrid has a hyperbranched polyimide moiety and an inorganic oxide moiety which are combining each other via covalent bond and constituting a composite structure.

    The invention aims to provide polyamic acid that can form a varnish with a low viscosity and serves to produce, through curing, coat film with good mechanical characteristics and further aims to produce cured coat film with good mechanical characteristics regardless of whether the molar concentration of the acid anhydride group in the acid dianhydride monomer and that of the amino group in the multivalent amine compound or diamine compound are identical to or different from each other. This objective is met by polyamic acid including a structure as represented by chemical formula (1) given below: (In chemical formula (1), δ represents an oxygen or sulfur atom and W represents an electron-withdrawing group, and R11 and R12 represent independently a hydrogen atom or a hydrocarbon group having 1 to 10 carbon atoms.
