    A method for producing a branched-polyether resin composition of the present invention includes a first step of obtaining a reaction mixture including: (1-A) a branched-polyether resin (X) containing a hydroxyl group, an acryloyl group, and an epoxy group and (1-B) at least one resin component selected from the group consisting of (1-B-1) a diacrylate (A2) of an aromatic difunctional epoxy resin, (1-B-2) a monoacrylate (A1) of an aromatic difunctional epoxy resin, and (1-B-3) an aromatic difunctional epoxy resin (B) other than (A1) and (A2); and a second step of mixing the reaction mixture and an unsaturated monocarboxylic acid, and reacting the epoxy group in the reaction mixture and a carboxyl group in the unsaturated monocarboxylic acid.

    With branched epoxy (meth)acrylate which comprises a phenyl skeleton serving as a stiff molecular skeleton, and which comprises in the molecular skeleton a number of branched structures capable of forming a coating structure at a high crosslinking density after ultraviolet curing, it becomes possible to design the coating hardness to be high even if the content of an acryloyl group is designed to be low to effect less crosslinking reaction induced by ultraviolet curing, and it becomes possible to relax distortions inside a cured film due to cure shrinkage which occurs at the time of ultraviolet curing. As a result, there can be realized an ultraviolet-curable composition for an optical disk which has a high elastic modulus and is less tilted at the time of curing even if the coating hardness is designed to be high.

    An object of the present invention is to provide a flame retardant composition having such a property that a flame retardant component is adhered in a larger amount onto a fiber than that in the case of a flame retardant composition that has heretofore been used. In order to achieve the obj ect, the present invention provides a flame retardant composition, including: at least one phosphorus compound represented by the following general formula (1) or (2); a cationic surfactant; and a nonionic surfactant: in the formula (1), A represents a divalent hydrocarbon group having 1 to 20 carbon atoms, n represents a number of from 1 to 10, and R1 to R8 each independently represent a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group having 1 to 20 carbon atoms; in the formula (2), R9 to R14 each independently represent a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group having 1 to 20 carbon atoms, and r1, r2, and r3 each independently represent a number of 1 or 0.

    The present invention relates to polysiloxane-polycarbonate block cocondensates derived from a continuous melt transesterification process comprising polysiloxane blocks of the formula (1) and polycarbonate blocks having recurring units of the formula (2) having improved rheological properties and good mechanical properties as well as to mouldings and extrudates made from these polysiloxane-polycarbonate block cocondensates and wherein the polysiloxane-polycarbonate block cocondensate has a siloxane domain distribution (diameter of siloxane domains) from 200 nm to 1 μm measured by atomic force microscopy and light microscopy which is in the range of 0.01%-2.5%, based on the total number of siloxane domains.
