    homogeneous sulfonations of 1,3-dihydroxybenzene (1), its monomethyl (2) and dimethyl ether (3) in concentrated aqueous sulfuric acid at 25°C have been studied and isomer distributions and rate coefficients for the sulfonation of 1–3 and their monosulfonic acids are reported.     Permeable, porous polymeric membrane with hydro­philic character of the membrane, said character being obtained by treatment with a solution com­prising one or more hydrophilic, mono-or polymeric compounds selected among soluble, OH-containing cellulose derivatives, polyvinylalcohols and low molecular weight, polyfunctional, NH-and/or OH-­containing compounds, optionally in the presence of a cross-linking agent, a surfactant and a initia­tor followed by rendering the layer deposited during the treatment insoluble on the membrane surface by means of a catalyst reaction at elevated tempera­tures in order to fixate the hydrophilic material to the membrane. Furthermore a process for the preparation of these membranes by means of treating a permeable, porous, polymeric membrane of hydro­phobic character with the above solution in the presence of a catalyst and optionally in the pre­sence of a cross-linking agent, a surfactant and an initiator, and curing of the coated membrane by means of heating to form an insoluble, hydrophilic surface layer. The membranes are suitable for use in ultra- and microfiltration.

    A conductive composition comprises a π conjugated conductive polymer, a dopant composed of polyanion, and at least one crosslinking site forming compound selected from (a) compounds having a glycidyl group and (b) compounds having a hydroxyl group and one selected from the group consisting of allyl, vinyl ether, methacryl, acryl methacrylamide, and acrylamide groups. An antistatic coating material comprises a π conjugated conductive polymer, polyanion, at least one crosslinking site forming compound selected form the above (a) and (b), and a solvent. An antistatic coating is formed by applying the above-mentioned antistatic coating material. In a capacitor comprising an anode composed of a valve metal porous body; a dielectric layer formed by oxidizing the suds of the anode; and a cathode formed on the dielectric lays, the cathode has a solid electrolyte layer formed by crosslinking complexes of a π conjugated conductive polymer and a dopant composed of a polyanion.
