Abstract The new route of syntheses, crystal structure and properties of two new copper(I) complexes, (CuL12)2(BF4)2 · 0.5THF (1) and (CuL22)2(BF4)2 (2) where L1=N-[(E)-(4-chlorophenyl)methylidene]-4H-1,2,4-triazol-4-amine and L2=N-[(E)-(3,5-dimethoxyphenyl)methylidene]-4H-1,2,4-triazol-4-amine are described. The planar dimeric molecules of 1 and 2 have a great ability toward building the porous structures
