Determination of urinary metabolites of orally administered rutin and rutin-2',5',6'-d3 in humans was carried out by TLC and GLC-mass spectrometry. In human urine, 3-hydroxyphenylacetic acid, 3-methoxy-4-hydroxyphenylacetic acid, 3,4-dihydroxyphenylacetic acid, 3,4-dihydroxytoluene, and beta-m-hydroxyphenylhydracrylic acid were identified as rutin metabolites.
