Some transformations of 2-benzylcyclododecanones prepared by alkylation of cyclododecanone with benzyl halides under conditions of phase transfer catalysis

Cyclododecanone is readily alkylated with benzyl halides (ArCH2X) to give 2-benzylcyclododecanones under conditions of phase transfer catalysis. Under the action of polyphosphoric acid 2-benzylcyclododecanone undergoes cyclization to give 1,2,3,4,5,6,7, 8,9,10-decahydrocyclododeca[b]indene. It also reacts with NOCl to give 12-hydroxyimino-2-benzylcyclododecanone, which enters the Beckmann rearrangement
在相转移催化条件下,环十二酮很容易被苄基卤化物 (ArCH2X) 烷基化,得到 2-苄基环十二酮。在多磷酸作用下,2-苄基环十二酮环化生成1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10-十氢环十二[b]茚。它还与 NOCl 反应生成 12-羟基亚氨基-2-苄基环十二酮,其进入贝克曼重排生成 2-苄基-1,12-十二烷二酸。
