coordination isomers of the p-CH3 and o-CH3 compounds. Changing the substitutent on the uncomplexed ring causes only a small effect on the carbonyl stretching frequencies of the Cr(CO)3 group. In the 1HNMR spectra, the change in the upfield shift of the protons on the complexed ring is small but indicates that there is some electron delocalization between the two rings.
