    Titanium-catalyzed hydroamination of 1,4- and 1,5-diynes by primary amines leads to imino-alkynes that undergo in situ 5-endo dig and 5-exo dig cyclization reactions, respectively. The products are 1,2,5-trisubsituted pyrroles accessed directly from readily available diyne starting materials.

    Metal-organic framework (MOFs) compositions based on nitrogen donor-based organic bridging ligands, including ligands based on 1,3-diketimine (NacNac), bipyridines and salicylaldimine, were synthesized and then post-synthetically metalated with metal precursors, such as complexes of first row transition metals. Metal complexes of the organic bridging ligands could also be directly incorporated into the MOFs. The MOFs provide a versatile family of recyclable and reusable single-site solid catalysts for catalyzing a variety of asymmetric organic transformations. The solid catalysts can also be integrated into a flow reactor or a supercritical fluid reactor.

    Embodiments in accordance with the present invention encompass compositions comprising a soluble photoacid generator, a organopalladium compound, a photosensitizer and one or more olefinic monomers which undergo vinyl addition polymerization when said composition is exposed to a suitable actinic radiation to form a substantially transparent film. The monomers employed therein have a range of optical and mechanical properties, and thus these compositions can be tailored to form films having various opto-electronic properties. Accordingly, compositions of this invention are useful in various applications, including as coatings, encapsulants, fillers, leveling agents, among others.

    The present invention relates to a bimetallic catalyst for olefin polymerization, a preparation method therefor, and the application thereof in catalysis for olefin polymerization. The catalyst is a transitional bimetallic complex of the VIII group with a type of multidentate ligand, and the structural formula thereof is shown as formula (I), wherein the definition for each radical group is described in the description.
