Abstract Potassium N-methyltrifluoroborate isoindolin-1-one was synthesized and used in Suzuki–Miyaura palladium-catalyzed cross-coupling reactions with aryl and heteroaryl chlorides to prepare 29 examples of substituted N-benzyl isoindolin-1-ones.
