  A wide variety of new macrocyclic diazocarbonyl compounds with various spacers was synthesized. Macrocyclic rhodium(H) carberioid insertion with various substituted indoles was performed to afford regioselectively, indol-3-yl macrocyclic di- or tetralactones (C3-alkylation).
