Syntheses of Benzilic Acids through Electrochemical Reductive Carboxylation of Benzophenones in the Presence of Carbon Dioxide

Reaction conditions for the electrochemical synthesis of benzilic acid (2a) under the atmosphere of carbon dioxide was investigated from the preparative points of view.
