A variety of readily accessible vicinal-diamine-based chiral chain dienes were successfully synthesized and utilized as steering ligands for rhodium-catalyzed conjugatedadditions of organoboronic acids to α,β-unsaturated carbonyl compounds to afford the desired adducts in good to excellent yields and ee’s.

A variety of acyclic chiral dienes were synthesized in a single step via palladium(0)‐catalyzed asymmetric allylic and homoallylic CH diamination of terminalolefins. The applications of such simple dienes as steering ligands for rhodium(I)‐catalyzed asymmetric 1,4‐additions afforded the corresponding adducts in excellent yields and up to 85% ee.
