[RuCl(η2-Ph2PCRC(Râ²)O(η6-arene)] complexes, prepared from α-diphenylphosphinoketones, react with phenylacetylene in the presence of AgBF4 or AgPF6 and give regioselective carbonâcarbon bond formation involving the α-phosphino carbon atom of the phosphinoenolate ligand, as shown by an X-ray diffraction analysis.
