  An oral veterinary drug delivery system and/or feed additive delivery system is disclosed that contains at least one biologically active substance at least to a substantial extent preferably uniformly sorbed into the bulk of a porous carrier, preferably feed; said drug or feed additive delivery system is obtainable by mixing the feed with solution of the biologically active substance for sorption, followed by the evaporation of the solvent. The medicated feed is readily ingested by animals. Processes for the preparation of the oral veterinary drug or feed additive system and uses thereof as pharmaceutical or feed additive are also disclosed. The preparation is carried out in a closed system that is occupationally and environmentally safe. Products of the invention can be used for farmed animals and pets, preferably for farmed fish in freshwater and seawater.
