    The present invention provides a curable resin composition which exhibits the following properties : excellent basic performances such as heat resistance; sufficient optical characteristics such as transparency; and excellent demoldability when a molded body of the composition is demolded at the time of molding. The present invention further provides a molded body obtainable by molding the curable resin composition and a production method thereof. A curable resin composition for molded bodies, including a thermocurable resin, wherein the curable resin composition for molded bodies includes at least one compound selected from the group consisting a compound having a boiling point of 260° C. or less at one atmospheric pressure, a silicon compound having a polyoxyalkylene chain, a silicon compound having an aryl group, and a silicon compound having a polyoxyalkylene chain and an aryl group.

    A curable resin composition which can be continuously produced without gelling during the production and is excellent in basic performances including heat resistance and moisture resistance; an optical member which has excellent optical properties, e.g., high transparency, and shows excellent performance even in a severe use environment; and a method of regulating an optical material. The curable resin composition comprises an organic-resin ingredient and a metalloxane ingredient, wherein the organic-resin ingredient comprises a resin ingredient having an Abbe's number of 45 or larger and the metalloxane ingredient has a metalloxane bond. Also provided is an optical material comprising the curable resin composition. The optical member is obtained by curing the optical material. By the method, the Abbe's number and/or refractive index of an optical material is regulated.

    Provided is a process for production of a cured molded article capable of readily producing a transparent and discoloration-free cured molded article that exhibits a low shrinkage ratio and an excellent heat resistance, abrasion resistance, and mold release behavior. Also provided is a cured molded article that is useful in a variety of applications, for example, as an optical member. The process for production of a cured molded article from a curable resin composition that comprises a condensable inorganic compound, a curable organic compound, and a curing agent is a process for production of a cured molded article including a first step composed of a step of thermally curing the curable resin composition at 80 to 200°C and/or a step of curing the curable resin composition by exposure to active-energy radiation, and a second step of subjecting the cured material obtained in the first step to a thermal cure at above 200°C but not more than 500°C.
