    Size-dependent blue luminescent CdS nanocrystals synthesized through a single-source molecular precursor route

    In this paper, we report on the synthesis of size-dependent blue luminescent US nanocrystals by using a new nonhydrolytic single-source molecular method. The size of the synthesized US nanocrystals could be easily controlled by adjusting the ratio of reaction sources under inert atmosphere. The studies on the optical properties reveal an obvious size-dependent photoluminescence characteristic of the synthesized nanocrystals. (C) 2007 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.

    摘要:
    The synthesis and characterization of a number of cadmium complexes with sulphur-containing ligands including: 2-mercaptopyridine, 2-mercaptobenzothiazole, 2-mercaptothiazoline, 1,4,8,11-tetrathiaundecane, 5-mercapto-1-methyltetrazole and dithiocarbamates are reported. Cd-113 solid-state NMR spectroscopy has been used to characterize several of the compounds and many of the complexes decompose to cadmium sulphide.
