exhibit potent herbicidal activity and may be of interest
for regulating plant growth. The compounds can be formulated for use in conventional manner. They may be prepared by a variety of processes, e.g. by reacting a heterocyclic sulfonyl isocyanate or isothiocvanate of formula
with an appropriate amine HNR5R1.
Some of the compounds V form a further aspect of the invention. They can be made from the corresponding sulfonamide by reaction with CS2 and phosgene.
