    Effect of size of metal ion on MS4N2 chromophore: Synthesis, spectral and single crystal X-ray structural studies on (2,2′-bipyridine)bis(N-cyclohexyl-N-methyldithiocarbamato)M(II) (M=zinc, cadmium)
    摘要:
    Isomorphous complexes [Zn(S2CN(Me)Cy)(2)(bipy)] (1) and [Cd(S2CN(Me)Cy)(2)(bipy)] (2) (where Cy(Me) NCS2(-) = N-cyclohexyl-N-methyldithiocarbamate anion and bipy = 2,2'-bipyridine) have been synthesised. Their structures and spectroscopic properties have been studied by IR, H-1 and C-13 NMR spectroscopy and single crystal X-ray analysis. IR spectrum of the complexes show the contribution of thioureide form to the structures. 1H NMR spectra of the complexes showed the desheilding of methyl protons and H-I of cyclohexyl group oil complexation The downfield shift of (NCS2)-C-13, methyl carbon and C-1 of cyclohexyl group carbon signals for 2 (205.5. 36.7 and 64.4 ppm) from the chemical shift value of 1 (204.2, 35.6 and 63.1 ppm) is attributed to the movement of more electron density from dithiocarbamate towards cadmium. Single crystal X-ray structures of I and 2 indicate that the central metal atom is in a distorted octahedral environment for both complexes. The presence of added 2,2'-bipyridine ligand in the coordination sphere of M(S2CN(Me)Cy)(2) increases Zn-S distances and decreases S-Zn-S angles in 1 and slightly increases Cd-S distances in 2. S-Cd-S angles are not affected. This is due to the relatively larger size of the cadmium ion compared to zinc ion which alleviates the strain involved in transformation from tetrahedral to octahedral. (C) 2009 Elsevier Ltd.     A crosslinkable acrylic rubber composition exhibiting superior balance between the storage stability and cure rate, and having only minimal risk of corroding metals or being contaminated by metals. The cured products made from the composition have excellent tensile strength, permanent compression set, and water resistance. The composition which comprises (1) a halogen-containing acrylic rubber, (2) a triazine thiol compound, (3) a dithiocarbamine acid derivative or a thiuram sulfide compound, or both, (4) a hydrotalcite compound or an organotin compound, or both, (5) an aromatic carboxylic acid compound or an acid anhydride thereof, or both, (6) a white filler with a pH of 2-10, and (7) a silane coupling agent.

    An acrylic rubber composition comprising (A) 100 weight parts of an acrylic rubber comprising 80 - 99.9 weight % of units of a monomer selected from acrylic acid ester monomers and methacrylic acid ester monomers, and 0.1 - 20 weight % of units of an α,β-ethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acid monomer, (B) 5 - 200 weight parts of synthetic silica, and (C) 0.05 - 20 weight parts of a crosslinking agent. The acrylic rubber composition preferably further comprises 5 - 200 weight parts of aluminum silicate containing at least 5 weight % of Al2O3 wherein the total amount of Al2O3 and SiO2 is at least 60 weight %. The rubber composition has good storage stability and gives a crosslinked object having good heat aging resistance, reduced compression set and good mechanical properties.

    An acrylic rubber that is a copolymer in which 1 to 4 wt.% of a reactive halogen group-containing vinyl monomer is copolymerized as a crosslinkable comonomer, wherein 45 to 65 wt.% of n-butyl acrylate, 10 to 35 wt.% of 2-methoxyethyl acrylate and 8 to 30 wt.% of ethoxyethoxyethyl acrylate are copolymerized in 100 wt.% of comonomers other than the crosslinkable comonomer. This ethoxyethoxyethyl acrylate-copolymerized acrylic rubber can suppress the reduction of oil resistance while improving cold resistance represented by a TR-10 value, and by compounding it with a vulcanizing agent corresponding to the crosslinkable group thereof, a crosslinkable composition is formed.
